— Plastics Cable Workshop Employee He Jinhong’s Deed Exemplifies the Core Spirit of the Company

On the morning of September 5, 2023, a banner embroidered with the words “Warm-hearted Help Reflects Great Virtue, Acts of Kindness Bring Warmth to the World” was delivered to He Jinhong, an employee of the Plastics Cable Workshop at Huatong Wire & Cable Group. The banner was presented by the family of a 94-year-old gentleman. As soon as they met He Jinhong, they tightly held her hand, saying again and again: “Thank you, thank you!” In response to their heartfelt gratitude, He humbly replied: “It was nothing—just glad the gentleman is safe.”

On the morning of August 23 at around 9:00 a.m., while driving with her two children to Tangshan Citizens’ Center, He Jinhong noticed through her rear-view mirror that an elderly man had collapsed near Bus Stop 88 by Xinghewan Community in Fengnan. Acting quickly, she pulled her car to the roadside and, together with her daughter, rushed to his aid. Seeing that the elderly man was semi-conscious, He woke him and helped him to stand. After realizing he might be experiencing low blood sugar, she asked her daughter to bring a bottle of lemon water they had just bought, and offered it to him. Once she confirmed he was safe, she left the scene with relief.

Later, determined to find and thank her, the man’s family made inquiries through various channels, eventually locating He Jinhong. They came specially to the company to present the banner as a token of their deep gratitude.

There are no heroes falling from the sky—only ordinary people who choose to step forward. Huatong Wire & Cable is proud of He Jinhong. To recognize her selfless act and her role in spreading kindness and positive energy, the company awarded her an honorary commendation along with a bonus.
